Join us May 13, 2025 for our third meeting of the year. The meeting will start at seven at the Central BBQ on Summer. We’ll gather sixish for food and drink, come share your ideas for moving the club sideways or forward, or just to catch up.
Thanks to all for coming out to play, we take the days we can get, not the ones we want. Could not get much better weather, a bit windy and that may have part of the timing errors. Ben created another fun course, it wasn’t as clear as it could have been so we had (more than) a few DNF’s. Something we will work on for the next event. Hope to see everyone in May, fingers crossed. The magic smoke escaped from the ancient sound meter, so we were unable to see db levels in preparation for our next event.

Thanks to all for coming out to play. I wish my body didn’t feel so under the weather, it looked like a fun course. I heard some unfounded worries about rain, which proved to be just that unfounded, so cold and chilly winds, but dry all day! Well, I say “dry.” My 94 decided to mark its territory and spit a freeze plug and left a spot everywhere it went. For those that showed up after drivers meeting, Sorry. The schedule was posted in your local library basement, behind the filling cabinets ages ago. If you can’t take more of an interest in local affairs…

We’ll be out March eighth at SBLS in the tan lot. Come out early if you want the event to run smoothly as all the volunteers will be rusty and groggy from lack of practice. Visit MSR https://msreg.com/midso-e1-25 to sign up!
We will be in the SW lot, trailers etc in the South central lot. It is a busy weekend at the Landers center so extra traffic watch, please.
As 2024 is starting to wind down, Solo nationals has been completed and the heat has subsided in favor of some fantastic fall weatherā¦. And once again, itās MidSouth SCCA election season. This year, Iād like to start by thanking Ken Park for all of his hard work, which was often behind the scenes and enabled the club to successfully host all the fun activities for us to participate in.
The board is always looking for suggestions on events new locations or input on how we can improve and keep our events benefiting all of you. Please donāt hesitate to let us know your thoughts, or if you would like to volunteer to help in any way. What do you want now?
Many ballots are still outstanding, remember to send yours in, or vote in person November 12 at Garibaldi’s UoM location.
We had a beautiful day for August in the MidSouth. Maybe a little cloudy in the morning but Blue Skies in the afternoon. I hope everyone had fun! And special thanks to Ken for the truck and William for the shade sand bags. We had the added treat of being able to witness the downing of the SBLS elevator. And of special note, the course designer promises the next course will NOT require sawing!
