March 2026 MidSouth Board meeting

Come out Tuesday the 10th to the Garibaldi’s UoM location. The meeting will be starting about 7:00 pm. As always, we’ll gather sixish for food and drink. Come share your ideas for moving the club forward, sideways©CF, meet your new board of directors, or just to catch up.

Remember you too can volunteer anytime, but if you want more control you’ll need to wait until next year to throw your hat/cap/whig into the ring. We’re looking forward to our first event of the year, and planning another year of fun with cars.

Update3, the weather is forcing another reschedule. Anyone want to experience BLACK ICE before or after dinner? Not me, been there done that. So, we are rescheduling for a week after the first alternate date that was Saturday, January 31, so NOW we are looking at February 7, from 6-9. Other details as in post below.

Competition is done for 2025, thanks to all that came out to help, run or just have fun with cars! A note about the upcoming winter banquet and awards ceremony on Saturday January 24th. SCCA Mid-South Region invites all for an evening dining and bench racing at Central BBQ. Located at 2235 Central Ave, Memphis, TN. We plan to open at 6 and eat at 7 with Awards after, we will have the room until 9. Format, as last year, will be buffet with a charge of $30 each (cash or check +$1.50 for cc) with ribs/ pork/ chicken/ beans/ slaw/ green beans/ chips/ sausage and cheese/ non-alcoholic beverage. Adult beverages and “Gratuity” are not included, but are available separately ($). Ken says we need a head count for this to work so PLEASE email me <linux86 at yahoo dot com>…

November 2025 MidSouth Board meeting

Come out Tuesday the 11th to the Garibaldi’s UoM location. The meeting will be starting about 7:00 pm. Ballots will be counted for the MidSouth 2026 BoD. Please note ballots received via snail or e-mail after 6PM November 11, 2025, will not be counted. As always, we’ll gather sixish for food and drink. Come share your ideas for moving the club forward or sideways©CF, or just to catch up.

20251112 update: Ballots were counted and the proposed slate of directors was passed by the thinest of margins. Remember you too can volunteer anytime, but if you want more control you’ll need to wait until next year to throw your hat/cap/whig into the ring. We’re looking forward to our last event of the year, December seventh and planning another year of fun with cars.
