2024 Championship points and AX trophies
A note about the upcoming winter banquet and awards ceremony in January, Saturday 18th. Mid-South Region has two criteria for eligibility for year end AX trophies:
1) Attendance of at least half of the AX events in the given year (in 2024 we had 18 total)
2) Member of record of Mid-South SCCA
Those drivers potentially eligible for Top 10 PAX trophies that are not members of record of Mid-South SCCA can ensure their eligibility by either joining SCCA with Mid-South as the region of record, adding an additional region to their existing SCCA membership ($15 additional per year), or switching their region of record to Mid-South.
Since we need to order the trophies soon in order to have them by January 18th, anyone wishing to update their memberships should do so as soon as they can.
RMHC
So Ken and I had a chance to run by the house, we dropped off a small check and got our picture with Ronald. Thanks again to all that came out to donate, run or work the event.
Results from 11th RMHC AX
Thanks to all who came out to play and those I volunteered to work corner! Thanks to KenP and BenT for showing up at seven to get things setup. Thanks to ShawnB, ShawnT and MichaelM for helping to keep everything going. I’ll update here after the bills are paid, but we did not meet the MIR record ;-(.
Well it was a hot day for October, wish we had the cooler weather that started Monday. We only had 26 drivers, but several made multiple donations and three people who didn’t even drive made five donations. If you meant to come but forgot what a great cause the Ronald MacDonald house is, we’re giving you one last chance to add your donation! (now closed)…

Attention in the pits:
As 2024 is starting to wind down, Solo nationals has been completed and the heat has subsided in favor of some fantastic fall weatherâŚ. And once again, itâs MidSouth SCCA election season. This year, Iâd like to start by thanking Ken Park for all of his hard work, which was often behind the scenes and enabled the club to successfully host all the fun activities for us to participate in.
The board is always looking for suggestions on events new locations or input on how we can improve and keep our events benefiting all of you. Please donât hesitate to let us know your thoughts, or if you would like to volunteer to help in any way. What do you want now?
Many ballots are still outstanding, remember to send yours in, or vote in person November 12 at Garibaldi’s UoM location.
